ECC82 and 12AU7 refer to the same medium-gain dual-triode family. It is widely used in line stages, buffer stages, headphone amplifiers, driver positions, and some integrated amplifiers where balanced tone and stable control are more important than maximum gain.
Choose PSVANE ECC82 tubes if your system calls for smooth midrange, clean separation, and a composed presentation. Compared with ECC83 / 12AX7, this family has lower gain and is often selected for stages that need refinement, drive stability, and low listening fatigue.
